When François Mellerio visited the Collège des Bernardins, which has been recently refurbished, he fell in love with one of its ornamental patterns – typical of the Cistercian Art of the XVIIIth century – a rose window on both gables of the building.

The beauty and the delicacy of this architectural detail gave birth to this jewel.
