The artistic director has woven together the radiance of yellow gold, the softness of pink gold and the strength of green gold to create sets with sensitively chosen gems: here each selected stone plays its own bluish note in a chromatic score where sea and sky merge, offering vivacity and serenity.
The soft blue or more vivid blue of blue topaz evokes the unique, ever-changing sky, the vivid blue of the apatites illustrates the southern seas, while the milky aquamarines bring to mind the freshness of stream water with their frosty blue of the Alpine glaciers that the Mellerios constantly crossed on their way from Craveggia in northern Italy - their town of origin - to Paris, their city of adoption.
