THE PINEAPPLE, THE KING OF FRUITS
Mellerio reinterprets this iconic 18th-century motif, closely associated with the world of Marie-Antoinette, through its new pineapple earrings and charm. These vibrant new jewels follow on from the unique Jardin des Rêves parure unveiled by the Maison last June.
A true nod to the “King of Fruits” beloved by Queen Marie-Antoinette, a distinguished client of the Maison, the pineapple has for centuries symbolised joy, hospitality and abundance. Reimagined in miniature form, this charm combines precision jewellery craftsmanship with a playful spirit, featuring multicoloured stones set within a gold mesh. Its recognisable silhouette, crafted with finesse, makes it a joyful and sunny symbol, perfectly integrated into the world of the Cabinet de Curiosités.
Continuing this creative exploration, the Maison has chosen to adapt the pineapple motif into earrings. Worn alone or paired with the charm, they embody jewellery that is free, vibrant and self-assured, where the piece becomes an expression of personality.
