L'Étoile Mystérieuse

This summer, Laure-Isabelle Mellerio is following up her multi-coloured Color Queen cross and the Sun medal presented in 2023 with two new talismans inspired by the cosmos, one in white gold and the other in yellow gold. All are crafted using the same expertise from the house’s jewelry workshops, but are resolutely casual and nonchalant when worn at the end of a long gold chain with thick rectangular links hand-chased by the artisans of the oldest house in the world.

The mysterious star, a high jewelry medal

The star is a historic motif for the House of Mellerio, and Laure-Isabelle Mellerio has chosen a strong version full of colourful energy. Playing on the contrast between two superposed stars, one paved with a semi-set of multicoloured stones, the other chiselled, a star sapphire lights up the centre of this jewel, which is surrounded by a rain of stone of various colours and sizes. Rubies, sapphires, emeralds and yellow diamonds emerge from the gilded, chased metal. The precious paving of the branch of the secondary star echoes these primary colours, in a vibrant harmony of colour where the green of the emerald meets the saturated red of the ruby. The sparkling colour of the roses combines with the deep blues illuminated by the yellows of other sapphires. This double star sparkles like a jeweller’s palette. This new high-jewelry creation is a highly decorative and spiritual creation, marked by the elegant and uncomplicated spirit that is Mellerio’s unique signature.
